Aberdeen Gardening – Help For The Amateur Gardener

Profile of plants that grow well in North East Scotland

Plant Profile

Posted by Alistair on Sunday, March 25th, 2007

A break from the garden diary has convinced me to change direction on my current entries. Starting from tomorrow it is my intention to start on a plant database including shrubs, perennials, and annuals all of which either grow well in my garden or are known to grow well in the Scottish climate.

This will be an ongoing project which will be directed to the novice or amateur gardener. The project will not be done alphabetically, however entering the name of a plant in the search box will bring up the desired result.

I will let you know how well they have grown in my garden, positioning and soil type required for best results and a general profile. Initially a scroll down the entries will let you see the progress, mind you I will look upon it as an endless task. If you have any questions email me and I will do my best to help, my inbox at the moment is being bombarded with spam so please be patient.
