Prunus laurocerasus — 10 Comments

  1. Hello Alistair, I do find laurel boring as they only seem to be used as a hedging plant and you never see them in flower as the flowering tips are pruned out from regular hedge maintenance. When they’re established they’ll cover the fence easily, I think they can grow quite large (again, I’ve never seem a large one as it’s always been clipped for a hedge).

  2. Alistair I was surprised to see your apple trees in tubs and having fruit! The cherry laurel is pretty one, it’s pity it’s not hardy for my zone 5a. I also like your bench, is it plastic and can be assembled?

  3. I feel like pruning often takes away the prettiest parts of the plant. Both the flowers and the berries are quite lovely! I love your picture of the spider web! Gorgeous!

  4. you have lots of apples on your wee trees Alistair,

the spiderweb back lit by the sunshine is beautiful,
    Frances
